Ice Covered Floor
A sprinkler system malfunctioned over the weekend in a local frozen food warehouse’s freezer causing the floor, walls, and the sprinklers themselves to be covered in ice. In many places, the ice was 2 inches thick. The shift manager contacted SERVPRO of East Greenville County to help scrape the ice off of the floor, and while this is not a typical service that we provide, we are always #Ready for any disaster. Our team chiseled away at the ice on the floors and walls, while a sprinkler system specialist handled the sprinklers to ensure that they were fully functional. We were able to remove all the ice from the floor and walls so that the employees and their equipment could safely move across the freezer, and the business had minimal downtime. Defiantly a win-win.
