2/1/2021 (Permalink)

Building emergencies can happen at any time and any place. Be prepared by having an ERP set up for your business.

Don’t wait for a loss to occur to get prepared.  Call SERVPRO of East Greenville County and we will make sure you are prepared before a disaster occurs.

Importance of an ERP in your business

Will you be prepared in the event of an emergency at your business?  Do you know where all of your electrical sub-panels are located?  How do you shut off the water supply to your building?  These are the questions that we ask every day at SERVPRO of East Greenville County.

Building emergencies can happen to anyone at any time.  Creating a contingency plan for when that happens is critical to getting back in business and recovering from setbacks.  SERVPRO has created a program that allows one of our trained professionals to come to your business and create an Emergency Ready Profile (ERP).

Our ERP’s document things in your building including electrical shutoffs, water mains, fire extinguishers, and much more.  We see the ERP as a living document because of the ease of access and ability to make changes at any time and from any of your devices.

If you are interested in the ERP program and would like to have a representative meet with you to discuss your needs, please contact us and we will be glad to help you!

Hosting Continuing Education Classes During a Pandemic means going VIRTUAL!

1/21/2021 (Permalink)

What happens when you can no longer host in-person Continuing Education Classes for your insurance agents? You go VIRTUAL!

Right now in today’s unknown sales market, there is no guarantee of anything! Is it time to start seeing my customers? Are my customers ready to see me? Am I ready to see them? What is still relevant in this new normal that we still consider the sales world?

If you haven’t heard the breaking news, there is no status quo. There isn’t a suggested playbook to abide by. Heck, there isn’t even an agreeable way to wear a mask. We are wearing masks, right? I mean, last time I checked . . .  ??

With all of this randomness, there is a point to the chaos. Right now, there is NO normal. How I visited customers and marketed to them 10 months ago is no longer possible. In today’s business world, I’m LUCKY if a door is unlocked. If it IS unlocked, there's almost always furniture to block me or I'm met with their arms extended to keep distance between us, which leaves a VERY slim chance to figure out WHO IN THE WORLD I should be speaking to.

So, what better time than now to take a huge pivot on how to get in front of these customers? With door after door being closed in my face, I turned back to my old trusty method—CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES...but this time they're VIRTUAL!

Of all the marketing methods I’ve used with agents, my most successful relationships have come from CE classes. And even though these times are uncertain and quite different, why wouldn’t this still work?

Well, long story short. It DID and HAS worked. In a work environment where three of my biggest independent agencies all have their employees working remotely, I have managed to obtain and communicate information to almost 40 of their agents, and I’m just getting started!

I have been and will remain one of the biggest advocates for the Continuing Education Program. If you’ve never used it to your advantage, you’re missing out. If it hasn’t become a necessary tool in your belt for marketing during COVID, you need to hop on board and do it quickly! If nothing else comes from my participation in the Continuing Education Program through SERVPRO, I’ve met and been educated by one of the best our company has to offer—Steve Deblois! Trust me when I say that you deserve to hear him speak, and so do your agents!

Get those relationships with your agents moving in the right direction again. Sign up for and host a CE class in your territory ASAP!

And if you're an insurance agent and need to take a CE Class please reach out to me at kelly.SERVPRO9744@gmail.com.  We are hosting an Ethics class next Tuesday, January 26 from 9am-12pm and we'd love to have you join us!
